Rather than writing about our trip, I'm going to illustrate CO2011 in pictures (and some captions).
Route 26 to Boulder driving from Lousville - how do we get some of these mountains in Indiana? |
Darn you Courtyard Marriott and your non-free breakfast! Boulder farmer's market eats for chicken tamale, breakfast burger with egg on top, mango/pineapple smoothie, and my first papusa with guac. |
Amazing presentation. |
No flowers for us: we bought organic peaches, quinoa granola, and chia seed fruit bars. |
Look at those colors! |
Then we hit the Pearl Street Mall and watched some street performers play the didgeridoo. |
And of course, we found a really awesome frozen yogurt joint called Spooners (a la Red Mango in Btown) at the Twenty Ninth Street Mall - you can bet we'll be back....
So, there's an Ironman brand Half Ironman 70.3 race in Boulder tomorrow!
The view from Boulder Reservoir where the Ironman starts/finishes
After dinner at Rumbi, we bummed around and accidentally returned to Louisville. We stumbled across our dream home, which overlooks this lake.
A rainbow appeared, a sign that
this is dream home is "the one." (the $1M+ "one")
Beautiful sun setting over the lake.
And, before we left Louisville, we stopped at Davidson Mesa, a 3-ish mile crushed gravel path with an off-leash dog park. Those dogs were SO excited to be there and run! We watched the sun go down from the path.
Last, we visited the 29th Street Mall (again), live music event under a tent, bars open.
They were showing a bunch of foster dogs, who were eager to be petted and taken home. (even the Chihuahua and pug had mini-sized "Adopt Me" jackets on!)
